Ross loves: As a keen gardener myself, the gardens are a real treasure and clearly a labour of love for my clients who have worked extremely hard to create the beautiful spaces from completely blank canvasses at both the front and the rear of the house, I also love the fact that planning permission offers space to extend, making it an ideal home for growing families, especially with the close proximity to the local schools!

The owners love: This house is so convenient, a 10 minute walk to Tesco, 15 minutes walk to seafront, convenient to get on main road out of Minehead, or the other way to Porlock. Our neighbours are friendly, we also love that the local shops at Alcombe are only a few minutes away, and the fish and chip shop at Alcombe is the best one in the area! Local hairdresser is lovely, and a beautician in the parade too.

Minehead

Fact: Minehead takes its name for the Old English for North Hill, the distinctive landmark that rises 900 feet from sea level above the town. The Welsh for 'hill' or 'mountain' is ‘mynydd’ - or 'myned' in Old English.

Minehead is a beautiful seaside town with a rich and diverse history dating back to the Bronze Age settlements on North Hill. The town is located on the lower slopes of Exmoor National Park with a long stretching sandy beach and beautiful promenade meaning that there are opportunities for all to enjoy. The town is also fortunate to benefit from a number of well regarded schools in and around the area making the area a popular choice for young families to live.
