Minehead is a beautiful seaside town with a rich and diverse history dating back to the Bronze Age settlements on North Hill. The town is located on the lower slopes of Exmoor National Park with a long stretching sandy beach and beautiful promenade meaning that there are opportunities for all to enjoy. The town is also fortunate to benefit from a number of well regarded schools in and around the area making the area a popular choice for young families to live.

With the construction of the steam railway (now the West Somerset Railway) to Minehead in 1874, the town became an up-market seaside tourist destination and has remained popular since, not just with those looking to holiday to the area but with the almost 12,000 strong population that call Minehead their home, fortunate enough to blend their daily lives with the incredible lifestyle opportunities the area has to offer.

Why we love Minehead:  Minehead offers such a diverse array of things to do and explore that even those living here struggle to do it all, for me though a lunchtime walk through Blenheim gardens, or along the promenade is so refreshing, especially when accompanied by goodies from one of the many local eateries!!
