Libby Last Achieves High Flyer Status with Nest Associates

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic milestone for Libby Last, our Wellington-based Nest Associate, who has officially achieved High Flyer status after banking £100,000 this year.

Reaching £100,000 means Libby will now retain 90% of any further commission she banks for the remainder of the calendar year.

It is a fantastic achievement in its own right, but it means even more when you look at the local business Libby has built around the town she knows so well.

Wellington born and raised

For Libby, Wellington isn't simply an area on a map or a territory she has chosen to work in. It is home.

Born and raised in Wellington, Libby's knowledge of the town, surrounding villages and local property market has been built over a lifetime.

Property has also always been part of her world. Her grandfather was a self-employed architectural designer and her father ran his own building firm, giving Libby an appreciation of homes, design, construction and quality workmanship from an early age.

She later began her own estate agency career with a well-established local agent in Wellington, gaining experience across all aspects of residential property sales before ultimately taking the step into building something of her own.

That makes reaching High Flyer status particularly special.

Building a business around her own reputation

One of the things we believe passionately at Nest Associates is that great estate agents should have the opportunity to build a business around their own name, reputation and relationships.

That is exactly what Libby has done.

Today, she combines traditional estate agency values with a modern approach to property marketing, personally overseeing the journey from the initial conversation and valuation through to marketing, negotiation and completion.

Her clients benefit from someone who genuinely knows the area, understands the local market and takes personal responsibility for their move.

Professional photography, carefully written property descriptions, social media, targeted online advertising and strong presentation all form part of the service, but at the heart of Libby's business is something much simpler: looking after people properly.

Local knowledge that can't be manufactured

Libby's business extends beyond Wellington into many of the surrounding Somerset towns and villages, but her approach remains highly local and personal.

Whether she is selling a family home in Wellington, a village property around the Quantocks or helping someone relocate into the area, she understands that every home and every client's circumstances are different.

That local connection comes through in the way Libby markets property too.

Rather than treating homes as another listing, she takes the time to understand what makes each one special the location, lifestyle, character and details that might ultimately matter to the right buyer.

It is an approach that has helped Libby build trust, win instructions and create a growing business in her local market.

And now, it has taken her beyond the £100,000 milestone.

High Flyer

What High Flyer status means

At Nest Associates, our model is designed to reward ambitious agents for the business they create.

Associates retain 65% of their commission up to £100,000 of banked revenue during the calendar year.

Once they reach £100,000, they achieve High Flyer status and retain 90% of any further commission banked for the remainder of that year.

For Libby, reaching that milestone means that every additional £1,000 she banks this year now returns £900 to her business.

It is one of the principles Nest Associates was built around: the more successful our Associates become, the more they should benefit from that success.

Freedom without being on your own

Becoming self-employed can sometimes be portrayed as choosing between freedom and support.

We don't believe agents should have to choose.

Nest Associates gives experienced estate agents the opportunity to run their own local business, operate within an exclusive territory and develop their own personal brand, while being backed by the marketing, technology, systems, training and support of the wider Nest network.

There is no joining fee and no monthly fee.

Our Associates have the autonomy to run their business in a way that works for them and their clients, without many of the restrictions, targets and office politics associated with traditional estate agency.

Libby's success is a great example of what that can look like in practice.

She hasn't had to become a different kind of estate agent.

She has been able to build a business around the kind of estate agent she wants to be.

A milestone worth celebrating

Banking £100,000 is not achieved by accident.

Behind that figure are instructions won, homes marketed, viewings carried out, negotiations handled, chains progressed, problems solved and clients supported through some of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Libby's High Flyer status is recognition of all of that work.

It reflects her knowledge of Wellington, the reputation she has built locally and, most importantly, the trust her clients continue to place in her.

We are incredibly proud to have Libby as part of Nest Associates and delighted to see her achieve this milestone.

And with 90% commission on everything she banks for the remainder of the year, there is still plenty more to come.

Could you become our next High Flyer?

George. James. Tom. Georgina. And now Libby.

Our growing group of High Flyers demonstrates something important: this isn't about one particular location or one particular type of estate agent.

It is about giving good agents the environment to perform at their best.

If you are an experienced estate agent already winning instructions, generating fees and looking after clients, it may be worth asking yourself how much of the value you create you are currently keeping.

With Nest Associates you can build your own local business, benefit from an exclusive territory, access a premium brand and comprehensive support, and retain up to 90% of the commission you generate once you achieve High Flyer status.

Libby has built hers in the town she has always called home.

What could you build in yours?
