West Quantoxhead (also known as St. Audries) is a charming and ancient village nestled in the picturesque Quantock Hills, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With its idyllic elevated rural setting and stunning natural beauty, this village is the perfect place to enjoy breathtaking views of both coast and countryside.

The village is home to St. Audries beach which is a tranquil place to watch the world go by, walk, fossil hunt or enjoy the waterfall! Within the village is the 19th Century Church of St. Etheldreda which was constructed in 1854-56 to replace a previous and incredibly dilapidated church. The octagonal font from the previous church remains and dates to the 12th Century. There is also a bustling village hall and a well-respected restaurant/Inn (The Windmill Inn) which serves an array of cuisines including a specialist Pizza menu and classic carvery!

Why we love West Quantoxhead - The village really offers something for everyone, whether you want to enjoy stunning scenery from the comfort of your own home, immerse yourself in village life and take part in one of the many clubs or activities at the village hall, or enjoy outdoor pursuits in the surrounding countryside or on the West Somerset Coastline. The village is also extremely well connected being almost central to three local towns (Taunton, Minehead and Bridgwater).
