East Coker is a stunning village situated to the south west of the local regional centre of Yeovil which is within a couple minutes drive, or just a 2.5 mile walk. The parish includes an array of characterful hamlets including North Coker, Burton and Holywell.

The village is widely regarded as one the prettiest villages in Somerset and is home to a trio of Grade I listed buildings; Nash Priory, Hymerford House and Coker Court as well as many other quaint thatched cottages. All villages worth their salt are home to a good watering hole, and East Coker is no exception - the Helyar Arms is the extremely popular public house which offers B&B and itself is an elegant build dating back to the 1400’s. There is also The Village Café, parish Church and primary school; further schools of all age ranges can be found in the nearby towns of Yeovil and Sherborne.

WHY DO WE LOVE EAST COKER: “East Coker simply depicts the idyllic ‘escape to the country’ style of living with its historic buildings and elegant properties, you will be hard pushed to find more pleasant surroundings in which to settle down into village life”
