The Candover Valley is made up of 5 villages, Preston Candover, Brown Candover, Northington, Swarraton and Weild, and 4 hamlets, Axford, Nutley, Chiltern Candover and Totford. Preston Candover, the hub of the valley, is just 8 miles from Basingstoke, 13 miles from Winchester and 6 and a half miles from the stunning market town of Alresford – with a pre-school/primary school, tennis court, village hall and the Candover Valley Store selling local produce and with a coffee shop overlooking the beautiful countryside. There is also the Purefoy Arms pub & restaurant, run by an award-winning chef, together with two other lovely pubs in the Candover Valley: The Yew Tree (Wield) and The Woolpack Inn (Totford).

Why we love the Candover Valley: There is so much to love about the Candover Valley. Whether it's the breathtaking countryside walks and the ability to stop off at a coffee shop or traditional country pub of your choice or being minutes away from Alresford which offers a wide range of shops and the impressive Mid Hants Railway (The Watercress Line) if you love the nostalgia of steam trains. There truly is something for everyone – from singing in the Candover Choir to joining local sports or gardening clubs.
