Basingstoke is an old market town that grew rapidly in the 1960s due to the collaboration with London County Council to accommodate part of the London overspill and is now the largest town in Hampshire. Basingstoke is 48 miles South West of London and 20 miles North East of Winchester, the former capital of Wessex. Basingstoke has great transport links, just off J6 of the M3 and with regular direct train services to London, the South Coast, the Midlands and the North.

Why we love Basingstoke: Festival Place brings you some of the best shopping in Hampshire by day and is buzzing by night with wonderful restaurants offering inside and outside dining, from Cote Brasserie to the Funky Cosy Club. The leisure facilities here are second-to-none including one of three iFly indoor skydiving sites in the UK and two multi-screen cinemas. We're also very lucky here in Basingstoke to be surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside within walking distance from the town centre.
